Relational Aggression and African American Girls

Because of rates of suicidality among African American girls, this study examined African American girls' experiences with relational aggression, which has been linked to suicide. The authors found the negative effects of relational aggression were worse than those of bullying, so it was important to distinguish between the two when supporting victims.

Math Teacher Practices Affect Student Behavior and Attitudes

The study showed that when math teachers provided emotional support to their 4th and 5th grade students, the students were happier and experienced more self-efficacy in math. Better classroom organization improved student behavior, but not necessarily their happiness in class.
